About Our Ayahuasca Retreats
We’ve designed our Ayahuasca Retreats for deep healing and transformation to support whatever intention you bring to your retreat. We offer both 7-Day and 12-Day retreats that center around Traditional Ayahuasca Ceremonies led by our team of Shipibo shamans. On a 12-Day retreat, the first ceremony begins in the traditional way, where only our shamans drink the medicine. This gives them a chance to get to know you energetically and personalize your healing work before you set out on your own Ayahuasca journey. We do not have the same practice for 7-Day retreats since you only participate in 4 ceremonies and we want you to get the most out of your week.
The ceremonies take place at night in our ceremonial maloka and are supported by individual healing work and beautiful icaros, or healing songs. Our full team is present for each ceremony, and guests can relax in knowing that trained facilitators are available to help should you experience any difficulty.
In addition to the Ayahuasca ceremonies, we place a lot of focus on community and integration, which we consider to be very important aspects in the healing process. Between ceremonies we provide group time as well as one-on-one time with our shamans and facilitators, who will help guide you through your experience. We also provide you with the opportunity to learn about the fascinating Shipibo culture through classes on Arts, Crafts, Language, and History. Take a look at our Retreat Activities to learn more.
Who We Are
The Pachamama Temple is a collaboration between both Shipibo shamans and Western facilitators to provide a genuine, safe and loving environment for working with the sacred medicine of Ayahuasca. The Shipibo have worked with Ayahuasca for centuries, and our shamans have a heart felt desire to share their powerful tradition of healing and ceremony with our guests.
Our Temple is a brand new, beautiful retreat center located near the Yarinacocha River in the heartland of the Shipibo people. Our shamans work in their natural, family-like environment where our guests can be provided with the highest level of safety and service. We provide single accommodations to all guests, along with home cooked meals and purified water throughout your stay.
With much preparation and years of experience to support our project, Pachamama Temple opened its doors to retreat guests in July of 2016. As part of our opening season we are offering a discount of $300 through April of 2017 for any of our retreat dates.

Preview the magic of Ayahuasca Healing Songs
One of the unique aspects of Shipibo culture is their belief that all beings, including plants, animals and humans, carry a song. During Ayahuasca Ceremonies, our Shipibo shamans sing the songs, or icaros, of powerful plant medicines and helping spirits who can bring whatever healing may be needed. Subscribe to our email list and we’ll give you instant access to five downloadable mp3 files of healing icaros sung by our shamans.
